Ondrej Lieser is the leader after Day 1 of SurGal Clinic Grand Finale Czech PGA Tour at Kaskada Golf Resort. He scored -4 despite not ideal last 2 holes (bogey at 17th and double-bogey at 18th). "I played well today, even luckily. At 17 I felt as a superman and did not make 6m putt. This meant physical pressure for the last hole where I made my drive onto water hazard and the other strike too. But I insist on victory here in Kuřim" Ondřej said after the game.
On the 2nd place is Ondřej Lébl and there are 3 players tied on 3rd position: Kino Navarro of Spain, Dutch Sven Maurits and Czech Jan Zedníček. Overall leader of Order of Merit, Martin Příhoda scored +2 today and actually he is tied on 13th.
Just after PROs started Senior tournament, today with star participant: former tennis player Ivan Lendl. Mr. Lendl finished at 5th position and commented: "I enjoyed the game, I like fast greens. I must be satisfied because I was for the first time here."
Tournament is played for 3 days, there are 54 (+T) proceeding to the Saturday Finals. Prize money fund amounts CZK 600 thous.
